Life Coaching

Life coaching is a powerful, forward focused process designed to help individuals unlock their full potential, to gain clarity and to create meaningful, lasting change in their personal or professional lives. Unlike therapy, which often explores past experiences and emotional healing, life coaching is firmly rooted in the present and future. This helps you define what you want, set goals, identify what may be holding you back and build a clear, actionable plan to get there.

Whether you're feeling stuck in your career, struggling with confidence, navigating a major life transition, seeking a better work life balance, or simply looking for more clarity and direction, life coaching gives you the structure, perspective and accountability to move forward.

Through insightful questioning, proven goal setting techniques and mindset shifts, we work together to break through any self limiting beliefs, help you develop new ways of thinking and take decisive steps toward the fulfilling, successful life you want - not the one you've settled for.

What to Expect from Life Coaching

Every coaching relationship is different, but sessions typically involve:

  • Exploring where you are now what's working, what isn't and what feels stuck

  • Getting clear on what you actually want (often more complex than it sounds)

  • Identifying the beliefs, habits or patterns that may be getting in your way

  • Setting meaningful, achievable goals with real milestones

  • Building practical strategies you can apply between sessions

  • Ongoing accountability to keep you moving forward

Sessions are held online or by phone, making it easy to fit coaching into a busy schedule regardless of where you are in the UK.

Who Is Life Coaching For?

Life coaching is for anyone who feels ready to make a change but isn't sure how to start or who keeps starting and losing momentum. You don't need to be in crisis. Many clients come to coaching feeling generally fine but quietly unfulfilled, knowing something needs to shift but unable to pinpoint exactly what.

Common reasons people seek life coaching include:

  • Feeling stuck or directionless despite outward success

  • Lack of confidence or persistent self doubt

  • A major life change such as divorce, redundancy or relocation

  • Wanting to leave a job or career but not knowing what's next

  • Struggling to balance professional ambition with personal wellbeing

  • Feeling overwhelmed, burned out or simply not like yourself

Frequently Asked Questions

What is life coaching and how does it work?

Life coaching is a structured, conversational process where a coach helps you get clear on your goals, understand what's holding you back and create practical steps forward. Sessions typically last 60 minutes and take place over a series of weeks or months. I can’t tell you the answers,  but I do ask the right questions help you find clarity and direction for yourself.

How is life coaching different from therapy or counselling?

Therapy typically focuses on understanding and healing past experiences, often addressing mental health conditions. Life coaching is future focused: it works with you to close the gap between where you are and where you want to be. If you're dealing with trauma, depression or a diagnosed mental health condition, therapy is usually the more appropriate starting point.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies depending on your goals and how deeply you want to work. Some clients see meaningful progress in as few as four to six sessions. Others prefer an ongoing relationship over several months. We'll discuss this during your free discovery call and agree an approach that suits you. But at no time are you obligated to commit to a specific number of sessions. Sometimes just a single session may help.

How do I know if life coaching is right for me? If you feel ready to make a change, are open to honest and sometimes challenging reflection and willing to take action between sessions, coaching tends to work very well. The best way to find out is through a free, no-obligation discovery call. There's no pressure and no commitment required.

What results can I expect?

Clients typically report greater clarity about what they want, improved confidence, reduced feelings of being stuck and more consistent progress toward goals that genuinely matter to them. Results depend on your commitment and openness, but most people notice a shift in perspective from the first few sessions.

Is life coaching done in person or online?

Sessions are conducted online or by telephone, making them accessible wherever you are in the UK. This also makes it easy to fit sessions around work and family commitments.

How much does life coaching cost? Pricing is discussed during your discovery call and tailored to your needs and the length of engagement. I offer a free 15 minute introductory call so you can ask questions and get a feel for whether coaching is right for you before making any commitment.

If you'd like to find out more you may book a free, no obligation discovery call or get in touch via the contact form. You won't be added to any mailing lists or receive unwanted emails.
